Ice skating rinks in Warsaw for a perfect winter outing

When the temperature drops in Poland, that means it’s time to go ice-skating. If you’re itching to strap on the blades or learn skating, Warsaw has many rinks to explore. And it’s not just during Christmas that you can get your skates on, as there are plenty of rink options starting from November. Here’s a round-up of Warsaw ice skating rinks to twirl around on.

Ice skating rinks in Warsaw in the 2020/2021 season

Ice rinks in Warsaw re-opened in February, 2021.

The ice rinks will open in March, weather permitting. It is always worth checking the website/Facebook of the ice rink before going out.  

An outdoor ice rink in Praga, at Plac Konesera (open until March 5, 2021)
Location: Plac (square) Konesera, Centrum Praskie Koneser (Praga). Opening hours: 10 am – 10 pm (75 min-sessions and 15-min breaks, additional long 90-min break 2.30 pm – 4 pm). If you show a receipt for a minimum amount of PLN 20 (for shopping and restaurants at the Koneser Center), entry to the ice rink and rental are free. You can only buy a ticket for the nearest slot. It is not possible to purchase a ticket earlier and use it at another time. More in Polish.

An indoor ice skating rink ‘Figlowisko’ in Ursynów (open in March as long as there is interest)
Location: Aleja Komisji Edukacji Narodowej 60 Street (Ursynów). Opening hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including bank holidays. Ice skates can be rented on site. Website, info about tickets, and Facebook page.

An outdoor ice skating rink in Wilanów (open if the weather permits at least until March 15)
Location: Royal Wilanów, Klimczaka 1 Street. Opening hours: 10 am – 9 pm. 30 people can enter each 45-minute slot. More in Polish.

An indoor ice skating rink in Targówek/Bródno (open depending on the weather)
Location: Łabiszyńska 20 Street (Targówek). Opening hours: Monday-Friday 2 pm – 9 pm, Saturday-Sunday 9 am – 9 pm. Technical breaks: Monday – Friday 6.30 pm – 7 pm, Saturday-Sunday 12 pm – 12.30 pm , 3 pm – 3.30 pm, 6 pm – 6.30 pm. Website, info about tickets, and Facebook page.

Stegny outdoor ice rink and a track (open if the weather permits at least until March 14)
Location: Inspektowa 1 Street (Mokotów). Opening hours: Monday – Friday 7 pm – 9 pm, Saturday – Sunday 12 pm – 2 pm, 3 pm – 5 pm, 6 pm – 8 pm. Website, info about tickets, and Facebook page.

Old Town outdoor ice rink – opening: December 6, 2019

Location: Old Town Square (city center). Free entrance. Opening hours: 10 am – 12 pm, 1 pm – 3 pm, 4 pm – 6 pm, 7 pm – 9 pm. Website and Facebook page.

Torwar indoor ice rink

Location: Torwar, Łazienkowska 6A Street (city center). Opening hours: Tuesday 8 pm – 9.30 pm, Thursday 8 pm – 9.30 pm, Saturday 6.30 pm – 8 pm, Sunday 11 am – 12.30 pm (including separated area for kids) and 6.30 pm – 8 pm.
